Janice Evelyn Currier Caskey born April 22, 1931 passed peacefully the morning of February 2, 2025. At 93 years young she led a full and adventurous life. As a lifetime artist and art teacher, she started a successful art school in Southampton, PA and later continued teaching art classes in Hancock, NH and at Covenant Living in Grand Rapids, MI. Having travelled to all 7 continents, she was always up for an adventure and was still hiking, kayaking, and cross-country skiing at age 88.  Jan & her spouse, the late Rev Howard Caskey, were instrumental in working with Millard Fuller to create Habitat for Humanity and were lifelong volunteers and supporters. She will be remembered warmly by her daughters, Pamela Centeno and Susan Strebel and their spouses Mario and John,  5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as an Ecuadorian daughter Maria Elena Lopez and a Vietnamese son Capt. Mang Vo.

 

A memorial service will be planned at Covenant Living in Grand Rapids, MI and a graveside service will be scheduled in Hancock, NH at a later date.
